Acupressure Facial Workshop

$120 per person

Mansons Landing, Cortes Island

JSD Acupressure Facial

This facial works with the main neck points, called “Windows of the Sky,” as well as with other points on the face and head, releasing tension and aiding circulation of “Qi” up and down the body, to open the “windows.” This 12-step JSD facial, originally developed for cosmetologists, uses only points on the face, head, neck, arms and hands. Wonderfully relaxing!

Endless Summer

The promise of Earth season is that it will never end! During the weirdest summer ever I am so grateful for this beautiful Fall weather. Dreamy sunny evenings at the lake, sunsets at the ocean, Marisol’s September 11th Birthday outside for a change! Fishing in the Tyee pool! Everything is beautiful.

This is also a wonderful time for self care. I’m available for acupressure and massage sessions and I am offering ayurveda health counseling by donation or trade for a limited time.

Call me at 250 202 1175 to book a session or consultation.

Metal/Vata Season

I’m a practitioner of Chinese Medicine Theory, and studying and integrating Ayurveda. In Chinese Medicine 5 Element theory we are transitioning from Earth season to Metal. The abundance of earth season is coming to an end.. time to deal with the harvest. Cash flow may slow down, just like the garden harvest slows to a trickle. We start to go inward like the plants drooping toward the earth. In Ayurveda this season is called Vata, or “Wind”. Ayurveda stresses the importance of keeping warm inside and out during this season, and keeping food simple for digestion. It’s a great time for journaling, starting new studies, cleansing. I like to reduce wheat and dairy at this time to go easy on the system. I start making soups and stews regularly. It’s also a wonderful time to book your seasonal acupressure tune up.

Cortes Island

Monday night yoga at Om Studio in Mansons. I will be sharing the Sivananda Sequence and Ayurvedic lifestyle tips which I learned at a month long workshop I took with Yoga Veda Institute. I’ve been practicing the Sivananda sequence daily and have found it really effective for back pain and core strength. I really like it, I hope you do too. It includes a sun salutation warm up, pranayama, and a sequence of asanas designed for spinal longevity. The class will continue at least until the end of August. $15 drop in or $40 for 4 classes. Everyone welcome.

Sunday morning yoga at Gorge Harbour Marina, patio. 9am. $7 drop in.

Private sessions available in Mansons or I can come to you. Jin Shin Do®, shiatsu or deep intuitive massage. Weather permitting we can use the legendary lakeside gazebo.

Chair massage and FIRMA energywear (crystal pants!) will return to Mansons market Fridays and the Gorge Market Saturdays starting in July.
